Flow en klantgerichtheid

Veel bedrijven zijn in deze tijd een oplossing aan het zoeken voor de manier waarop klanten graag bediend willen worden. De consument heeft meer opties omdat door internet en realtime (micro) blogg mogelijkheden meer opties mogelijk worden. Het heeft zin om na te denken bij wie je koopt en wat je precies wilt. Want wat je kunt kopen wat je wilt voor een prima prijs.... ergens. Soms is het even zoeken, maar het is er! Bedrijven ontdekken dat monopoly-posities verdwijnen en zijn op zoek naar andere mogelijkheden om de omzet op pijl te houden. En dat betekent: de klant centraal. En wat heeft dit met flow te maken? Alles! Er zijn eigenschappen in flow die perfect passen in oplossingen om klantgericht te leren denken. Enkele belangrijke zijn: - er is één richting /mainstream > van intern naar de klant toe - als je met dezelfde energie klantgericht wilt zijn moeten alle energieverspilling eruit gesneden worden

Just sharing a successtory because I am really happy Recently I visited an international company, a client who has been taken over a year ago and has a completely new marketing/communication strategy. The partner who bought the company had his own communication agency (a big one) who did all the work for them. In spite of loosing attention, I continued visiting the company to talk with the employees and new people of the marketing department. I did some small things like small boeklets, posters and banners. I kept all lines open and pro-active giving idea's for smarter solutions. And this week when I visited the company again I heared the head Marketing telling to a collegue: "If you need anything call Sibren." I did not really pay attention to it. Untill today, today the coin dropped: I am the preferred supplier now!

How do you keep conversation going?

Today I realized the way I like to keep conversation going on this Ecademy blog, is most essential in all communication I have. Let me explain:

My first blogposting was about having a project realized (see here). Not really an invite to start a dialogue

During serveral blogpostings last year I learned to level with the readers here on Ecademy and watched how top-bloggers kept conversation going. Slowly I felt more comfortable and it get easier to post and just see what happens, without expectations...

I adapt this learned way of dialogue with family and clients, and it is really improving: playing with views on the conversation to stay in contact, not expecting anything. My intention is to listen well and react on others reaction, but sometimes I still get "pushy" and.... conversation stops.

The memory of Ecademy …

... yesterday during the New Year's drink of Ecademy Amersfoort Netherlands. There were pretty conversations again with special people. For me, the meeting is really relaxing-time and in the night when I drive home am always full of new inspiration.

Yesterday I realized again that the Ecademy club is a special social network. Not only good "future proof" values are defined, but Ecademy has a memory also. That is totally different from other networks.

The input I gave in recent years stays there, it is not only stored in the Ecademy blogsystem, but in the heads of members I meet in real life also! And thus arises naturally friendship and "credibility". I'm a person who thinks on the long term and like the joy to "build" together.

Een spetterende kennismaking…

Vanavond sprak ik op een socialmedia bijeenkomst in Amsterdam iemand die ik al een tijdje via Twitter volg. En hij mij.

Tijdens het volgen zie ik dat hij met (voor mij) interessante mensen afspreekt, met diverse mensen een mooie verbinding heeft (dat lees ik af aan de twitterberichten van de connecties).

Zoals ik wel vaker doe, kijk ik ook via het twitterprofiel ook even op de website en soms google ik ook nog even. Interessante website, mooie diensten, een kleine overlap in vaardigheden op het juiste onderwerp “flow”. En vooral blijkt het voor mij een persoon die snapt hoe dingen in elkaar zit! We hebben al de intentie uitgesproken om eens ergens elkaar te spreken.

Hij toont belangstelling voor mijn nieuwe initiatief met Flowcreation en ik door zijn inzicht op hoe communicatie 3.0 werkt.

En heel toevalling was hij vanavond ook bij de bijeenkomst in Amsterdam en dat vond ik geweldig! Tijdens de “borrel” kwamen we al heel snel op de juiste golflengte en de ideeën vlogen snel heen en weer. Met een open eind gingen we weer verder ons eigen weg tussen de deelnemers met de zekerheid dat er vervolg komt…

Daar wordt ik nu echt heel blij van!

Analytisch denken en open benaderen

Convergeren en divergeren binnen een situatie die ik bij klanten soms tegenkom.

Eerste fase, convergeren

Vaak verzoekt een ondernemer/organisatie om een oplossing of doorvoering van een idee. Er komt dan een gesprek waarbij de ander aan mij wil uitleggen welke oplossing gemaakt moet worden.

Als ik met vragen probeer te achterhalen waarom voor deze richting/oplossing gekozen is ontdek ik snel welke afwegingen de ander gemaakt heeft. En die afwegingen zijn heel interessant, omdat hierin aannames nog eens boven tafel komen. Kloppen die aannames nog en zijn er beslisstappen genomen toen er nog en ander doel was? Hierbij speelt analytisch vermogen een grote rol: alles afpellen tot twee elementen over blijven: de werkelijke reden van actie en het doel (of de wens), dat is wat mij betreft de essentie.
Hierbij zijn analytische vaardigheden erg belangrijk.

Tweede fase: dromen en richting bepalen

Nu de reden van actie en doel duidelijk zijn gaan we samen kijken welke weg het slimste en meest kansrijk is. In dit deel is dromen belangrijk. Kijk naar de meest ideale weg. Een korte spontane brainstorm werkt op dat moment heel sterk. Na de korte brainstorm kan er (zoals standaard) getoetst worden en grote lijnen bepaald worden. Dit deel kan je associatief, creatief noemen.

Hierna volgen nog meerdere stappen voordat er iets concreets op tafel licht, maar de “juiste mindset” is er en ieder is overtuigd dat er een veel waardevollere oplossing komt of is.

Your energy versus financial accountability

After my reaction on Marco's blog about "being happy with yourself" / having a healthy self-image I came up with an subject as a designer:
Is my creative process in line with financial responsability?

Five years ago I decided to start my own one-person-designcompany. Not for the money but to get closer to the costumer, talk and deliberate directly, inspire with possibilities instantly and most important: keep energy flowing.

Ten years before, I worked for several companies at the creation-department where accountability - the money - plays a central role. And I learned to work with eliminating risks, giving the financially proved solution for cliënts. But after ten years it felt really empty and down. Strange, because I was "making" things, that's the most popular position in the company!

Being happy with yourself and having a healthy self-image is the most powerfull tool to help others.

When I thought about this discovery I made an appointment with myself: Focus on things I get energy from (and earn money by it also). Creativity is a keyword for me.

During the journey I read the a dutch book of Marines Knoope, called “De creatiespiraal” and found the key of gaining spiritual energy. The spiral is based on several phases of creation. I discovered that the last part of the spiral was missing in my habits: receiving, appreciating, relaxing.

So I decided to learn to enjoy recieving compliments and doing things to get more compliments. And the funny thing is, it worked. I grew and grew and raised the impact of the effort at the start and realisation of creative proces.

And the most wonderfull thing is: I put all energy back to people in a later stage of starting-up and creating or supporting. This giving-getting system opened my eyes and gives me a “rich feeling” and maybe you can call it a form of happyness.

In this stage I explore even more “energyzing” fields in the direction of Flow. To me it contains many elements of the journey to higher energy and cross-thinking. All this started with learning to enjoy my own successes (small ánd big).

Today I made the first very, very small start with a new website containing this”flow-thing” and hope to evolve it with others by sharing, involving and inspiring… All good things do start with an idea
